WHAT IS YOUR MORNING ROUTINE?

I wake up quietly. Always lying down doing breathing exercises and feeling my body.
What lingering thoughts from the day/s before and what I need to work on.

The first thing I do when I get up is yoga, or a combination of yoga/pilates before I wake the kids. I love the quiet hours of the morning, and always get up early so that I have time in my own company before the day really sets in.

I live pretty firmly according to the 8/16 principle, so I rarely eat before after 11.
But after yoga, I always drink a large glass of electrolytes and usually continue with herbal tea until I eat.

HOW DO YOU PREFER TO SPEND AN HOUR IN YOUR OWN COMPANY?

My absolute favorite time in my own company during the summer period is yoga on the beach/bridge at Fejø.

The sound of the sea,
the fresh sea scent on my face.
The sound of birds and peace to focus on
what my body needs from exercises and movement.

In Copenhagen and during the winter, it's breathwork. I am using the company OneThirtyLab and it is absolutely phenomenal. You are both refreshed, full of energy and totally de-stressed after half an hour to an hour of breathwork.

WHAT IS YOUR BEST ADVICE FOR SHOWING SELF-LOVE AND PRIORITIZING YOURSELF IN A BUSY DAY?

Proper and deep breathing.
You can very easily incorporate that into your everyday life.
It can be done in the bath while packing lunches, on the bike, in the car - in between all other activities.

To think through your day, feeling both the good and the bad.
And exercise - it is the most influential thing in our lives that our body works well, and the better shape you are in, the better you usually feel in your body.
In addition, there are all the endorphins and the mental calm you also give the body when you are working.

HAVE YOU MADE A DECISION IN YOUR LIFE THAT HAS BEEN PARTICULARLY GOOD FOR YOU?

To scale down. In all respects.
My work life, my homes, my tasks, activities, and my social life.

WHAT ADVICE, ON CREATING A LIFE IN BALANCE, WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR YOUNGER SELF?

Don't rush. Things take time, and nothing good comes of running fast, you just get out of breath - and maybe also confused and lose focus.

YOUR BEST TIP FOR A STRONG AND HEALTHY BODY AS WELL AS A MIND IN BALANCE?

For me, it is extremely important that I exercise. Yoga, pilates, strength and some cardio.
In addition, I live vegetarian, occasionally with a bit of fish, and then I live according to the 8/16 principle, and eat between 11 am and 7 pm. Electrolytes and vitamins.
Sleep and being able to get some peace around me on a daily basis is also important.

I suffer from migraines and this lifestyle has had a huge impact on reducing my migraine attacks!

The island life at a slow pace away from the city with a focus on nature, presence and calm - have you always been good at prioritizing these small breaks in a busy everyday life and what do they mean to you?

It is especially in recent years that I have become aware of how important that combination is to me. I would find it difficult to live without the vibrant and cultural input from the city, but it is on the island that I recharge my batteries, get fully into gear and feel myself.

DO YOU HAVE AN EASY BEAUTY TIP THAT WE MAY SHARE?

Anette from Beautyspace taught me many years ago the invaluable tip of 'scrubbing'/cleansing my skin with cold water on a cotton cloth instead of various harsh products. It has been a game changer for my skin. And then AHA cleanser & my Avit creams from Beautyspace and Lucia Care respectively.

For my body, hair & scent, I mainly swear by Karmameju. Switches between products and fragrances from summer to winter.

Regarding makeup beauty tips, a good mascara and brow kit is always in my bag, and it's just as important to me as getting dressed before I go out the door.
At the moment I use Max factor's masterpiece and brow revival.

IF YOU COULD CHOOSE AN ACTIVITY OF YOUR OWN CHOICE THAT WOULD FILL YOU WITH LOTS OF ENERGY - WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Tennis or cycling in the countryside in the summer.
